Goring theatre group raise £230 for children with special needs

A THEATRE group from Goring, has donated all its recent performance collections to pre-school children with special needs.

The Goring Parish Players theatre group recently raised £230 through the retiring collection that followed each performance of its production of ‘Razzle Dazzle’ at St Mary’s Church hall, in Goring-by-Sea.

The theatre group chose to give the donations to the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre, a free of charge centre for pre-school children with special needs, on Wellesley Avenue.

Michael Kay, director of partnerships and fundraising for the Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre, thanked the Parish Players for choosing to support the centre which is entirely reliant on donations.

He said: “We are delighted every time a local club, group or association helps us to reach our fundraising target of £150,000.”
