Twenty Gruffalo toys were sent on a global journey by the beloved children’s author Julia Donaldson CBE to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Gruffalo book.

The toys are part of the Global Gruffalo project, created as part of the Horsham District Year of Culture 2019 to celebrate the project’s patron Julia Donaldson CBE.

They set out on their journeys at the beginning of January, and in the short space of a month the creatures have already travelled far and wide.

The sponsored Gruffalos have travelled as far as Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Italy, America and the Caribbean Islands. The Gruffalos have climbed the shard and visited St James’ Park

The Gruffalo sponsors have been equally busy recording their Gruffalos along their journeys which can be seen on the official Global Gruffalo website www.globalgruffalo.co.uk
