Funds agreed for improvement of Slinfold school car park

The county council has agreed more than £17,000 of funds towards improving a school car park in Slinfold.

Back in March 2013 Slinfold Parish Council appealed to West Sussex County Council’s North Horsham County Local Committee to help free up funds to complete work on the car park off The Street, Slinfold.

The current car park, between Slinfold CofE Primary School and St Peter’s Church, has space for around eight cars.

The new car park would have capacity for 20 including two disabled parking bays.

Last week the WSCC cabinet member for highways and transport approved the use of £17,640 of existing unallocated Section 106 funds to go towards the project.

The parish council said that the intention was to deliver the project over the school’s summer holidays.

It received planning permission from WSCC for the project in November 2011.
