Former Horsham X Factor star to appear at London's West End

A Horsham teenager who narrowly missed out on the final stages of last year's X Factor will be performing at London's West End later this year.

Singer songwriter Nathanael Landskroner, who reached the top ten boys on the ITV talent show, is set to perform in a special concert to celebrate the National Youth Music Theatre’s (NYMT) 40th anniversary.

The company, which has produced stars such as Jude Law, Matt Lucas and Eddie Redmayne, has also cast the 17-year-old as the lead in its latest production Spring Awakening.

Nathaneal will play Melchior Gabor in the Tony award winning musical, which is also being performed as part of the anniversary celebrations.

He said: “NYMT offers a unique experience and training in the performing arts.

“I recommend NYMT to any young person with a passion for musical theatre. I have learned so much and can’t wait for this season to begin.”

The show will be performed at the prestigious Curve Theatre in Leicester, in August.

The productions is Nathanael’s third with NYMT. He previously played Action in West Side Story and Henry in new musical Brass, which commemorates The Battle of The Somme.

Brass won Best Musical Production 2014 in the UK theatre awards and Nathanael features on the original cast recording.

The teenager is also fundraising for his training and looking for sponsorship from local companies.
