Former Horsham student Holly Willoughby is UK mum’s role model

The Lansinoh survey asked mothers in nine different countries across the globe, including Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Turkey, USA and the UK, who their role models were. Angelina Jolie and Kate Middleton were the most commonly appearing celebrity mothers across the varying countries.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie was voted in the top three role models in seven out of the nine countries surveyed including Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Mexico and the UK but surprisingly not in the USA. In America Sin City star Jessica Alba just missed out on the top spot, with 23% of the votes, to A-List actress and wife to Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner who received 26% of the votes.

The Duchess of Cambridge appeared in the top three in France, Germany, USA and the UK.

For mothers in the UK however, girl-next-door TV presenter Holly Willoughby, who went to the College of Richard Collyer in Horsham, is most favoured, appearing top of the list two years in a row. Holly has recently given birth to her third child with husband Daniel Baldwin.

Her role on This Morning means that Holly Willoughby is somebody that mums wake up with in the morning when we are getting the kids ready for school or nursery. She comes across as very grounded and unpretentious and mums like to talk to other women that they can relate to. That’s why at Lansinoh we strive to create a community of mums, whether it’s through our Facebook page or through the Happy Tummy Club, we encourage mums to support each other and share their tips, advice and experiences with each other.”
