“It’s a beautiful forest. I was out yesterday on my mountain bike. It’s an awful shame.”

Councillor Pru Moore, Mid Sussex Cabinet Member for Leisure and Sustainability yesterday (September 18) said: “Fly tipping is an irresponsible and anti-social act that spoils the beautiful Mid Sussex countryside for everyone.

“We have had a spate of fly tipping instances recently, many of which have taken place on roads, and are currently dealing with a number of cases. We are aware that someone has dumped a large amount of waste at Parish Lane and we are making arrangements to clear up the mess as soon as we can but fly tipping that causes a considerable road obstruction will take priority.”
