FIREFIGHTERS used an aerial ladder platform after they were called to a ‘dangerous structure’ in Horsham, say the fire service.
Blue watch commander Steve Blackaby told the County Times they were called to West Point in Springfield Road at about 11am on Monday.
“The cladding started to come off the third floor balcony and we were called by the occupiers. They were a bit concerned obviously because of the high wind.
“Shortly after we arrived one of the pieces blew off and landed in the road so they were right to call us.”
The area was cordoned off while firefighters removed the remaining pieces. A crew from Horsham and the aerial ladder platform from Worthing were on the scene for around an hour, he said.
