AS A NEW recycling service is set up for Horsham’s traders, two business directors remain unhappy with provisions in the town centre.

Nick Courtney and Steven Greenfield, directors at the Carfax estate agent, Courtney Green, are asking all Carfax based businesses to join their campaign to improve recycling services in that area.

They said: “At present any business or shop based in the Carfax has to do their own recycling.

“We already separate the internal waste generated, however it is then down to us, and all other Carfax based companies, to ensure that the rubbish is taken to a recycling point.”

A spokesperson for Horsham District Council said: “Horsham District Council is currently setting up a trade waste recycling service and contacting all of our existing refuse customers.

“The Carfax in Horsham town centre is a pedestrianised area so we can’t drive the large recycling collection vehicles across it, but we are looking at the best way to collect the recycling and will be in touch with businesses in the town centre soon.”
