In what could be a final flourish for the summer, temperatures are set to soar for the next two days - followed by colder days and plenty of rain.
Today (Wednesday September 4) temperatures in the Horsham district are expected to reach the mid 20s degC while tomorrow they could nudge just under 30degC.
However, the wind will change from the south to the north on Friday with up to a ten degree drop in the temperature.
Rain could fall from mid morning and a mix of light showers and sunny spells are forecast for the weekend.
Even though the wind direction is expected to move back to from the south, the intense heat isn’t expected to return.
The longer range forecast is for a mixture of showers and sunny spells.
