Emergency services incident in major Horsham town centre road: fire service rescue person trapped in vehicle

The fire service has rescued a person trapped in a vehicle on a major Horsham town centre road.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue said they were called by police to a crash on Brighton Road near Queen Street at 1.15pm.

A spokesman added: “One crew from Horsham was mobilised to the scene along with the Heavy Rescue Tender from Crawley Fire Station.

“Upon arrival they found one person trapped and crews worked to release them from the vehicle.”

The fire service left the scene at 1.58pm, he added.

The road is understood to still be closed.
