GCSEs: Farlington School delighted with ‘brilliant’ results

Girls at Farlington School near Broadbridge Heath are celebrating a set of excellent GCSE results with 59 per cent of all grades at A* or A, with an overall A* to C pass rate of 94 per cent.

Headmistress Louise Higson said: “We are delighted with their performance, these brilliant results are no less than the girls deserve. They are a reflection of their hard work and desire to succeed.”

Ten girls achieved ten or more straight A* or A grades: Rebecca Arnold, Sarah Binns, Savannah Finestone, India Foster, Melissa Joannides, Lucinda Jones, Jenny McGregor, Freya O’Sullivan, Isabel Raval and Emily Townsend.

She added: “My appreciation and thanks go to all the teachers; their passion and commitment are key in providing the excellent teaching and support which enables the girls to achieve these outstanding results.”
