SHOOTS in Washington will be running a Donation Station in support of Cancer Research UK from Friday April 1 to April 30.
Garden centre shoppers will be able to take along bags of unwanted clothes and quality homeware, which will then be sold in local Cancer Research UK shops.
Each bag that gets donated is worth around £30 and Shoots Washington is hoping to bring in more than 2,000 bags.
Louise Rutland, marketing manager of Shoots Washington, said: “Unfortunately, so many of us have been affected by cancer to some extent; I know that the people of Sussex will pull together and make a generous donation to this very worthy cause.”
Yvonne O’Connor, area manager for Cancer Research UK, said: “We’d like to thank Shoots Washington for their support.
“We hope people will take advantage of this easy way to donate and have a clear out, whilst lending their support to a great cause.”
Items that can be donated include quality clothes and homeware, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs and mobile phones.
