Dog rescued after getting stuck in drainage pipe

A SMALL terrier dog had to be rescued by firefighters after it got stuck in a drainage pipe.

The dog became trapped 20 metres inside a nine inch drainage pipe in Downs Link Path off Sandy Lane in Henfield at 1.10pm on Wednesday (December 21) afternoon.

Fire crews provided assistance to an RSPCA officer and rescued the dog by using chimney rods, a snake eye camera and life detection equipment.
