Barns Green’s Post Office is set to launch a new service today (Thursday September 4) that will see the facility open for an extra 27 hours per week.
The branch will open earlier and close later each day, and will be open on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
It will be open between 8am and 7pm on Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 1pm on Sunday.
The Church Road store was closed from Wednesday August 27 while minor structural changes were made.
Area manager Peter Wilkinson said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Barns Green and we are confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the community will be popular.”
Available services include Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, Post Office Card Account, withdrawals, sending funds abroad using Moneygram, pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
