Police have been joined by volunteers as they search woods for missing Horsham woman Jennifer Marsh.
The 59-year-old, of Littlehaven Lane, was reported missing at 8.30pm on Wednesday evening (May 30) from her home address.
She had been seen by her partner at 9.30am that morning, but now a member of the public has reported that they saw her in Leechpool Woods nearby at 11.20am that day.
If it was Jennifer this would have been the last reported sighting of her. The evening of Friday June 1 and overnight officers have been searching these woods, along with Owlbeech Woods.
The search continued yesterday (Saturday June 2) with the support of the West Sussex Neighbourhood Watch search unit and Sussex Search and Rescue team. Insp Rob McPhilemy said:”We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Jennifer and have stepped up searches in these areas.
“Jennifer is known to use these woods as well as Warnham nature reserve, Southwater Park and Chesworth Farm. Jennifer is on medication for diabetes and it is totally out of character for her to act in this way.
“I would ask anyone who has seen her or has any information to contact us on 101.” Jennifer is described as white, 5’10’’ tall, of average build, with dark brown, collar length straight hair and blue eyes.
She is believed to be wearing similar clothing as pictured above.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1705 30/05/12.
