Cranleigh High Street has been closed this morning (Friday September 28) following an attempt to break into a cash machine.
A mini digger was used on the Lloyds TSB cash machine in the High Street.
However, early reports says that the attempt failed.
As a result, the street is shut in both directions at the Rowland Road junction.
This is also affecting Rowland Road between High Street and Parsonage Road.
Drivers are advised to stay clear of the area until further notice.
More updates to follow.
