‘Unique’ green tricycle among 20 bikes stolen from Horsham

Between 15 and 20 bikes have been taken from the Horsham area, including a ‘unique’ green tricycle.

A spokesperson for Horsham District Council said they were stolen from the Horsham area at some point between 5pm on Friday May 22 and 9am on Monday May 26.

They added: “Both of the shipping containers that are stored onsite that have got the bikes and trikes for the Horsham Wheels for ALL inclusive cycling group were broken in to and about 15-20 bikes in total were stolen.

“Some of these belonged to Horsham Wheels for ALL and Horsham District Council Sports Development team.”

Most of the bikes which were stolen were two wheeled, according to the spokesperson, but she said a unique green tricycle was also taken.

The tricycle was used by the Horsham Wheels for ALL members.

Sussex Police confirmed officers are investigating the theft of several bikes, reported to have occurred between Friday 22 and Tuesday 26 May.

A spokesman added: “Officers have engaged with the informant and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 782 of 26/05.”
