Two men '˜stabbed' in brawl outside cinema

Two men were left seriously injured after being attacked with what was believed to be a knife in a fight outside a cinema.

Police were called just before 5.30pm yesterday (Saturday, November 10) following reports of a fight between six people near Scott Cinema in The Atrium, East Grinstead.

Two men were found with ‘deep lacerations’ to the arm and head, which police believe was caused by a knife.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police arrived on the scene very promptly, but the suspect had already left the scene.

“Two males were treated for injuries at the scene, possibly caused by a weapon.

“These injuries were considered serious, but not life-threatening.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 1027 of November 10.”

He added: “This is believed to be an isolated incident and not considered as a risk to the wider public.

“Officers from Crawley Investigations Department have been deployed and will look to identifying the suspects.”
