Two children among migrants found in West Sussex

Police officers encountered six migrants in West Sussex this afternoon (Saturday, November 21), the Home Office has said.

Immigration Enforcement was contacted by Sussex Police, at about 12.20pm, after they attended an incident in Vinnetrow Road, outside Chichester.

A spokesperson for the Home Office said: "Police officers encountered six males who presented themselves as Iranian, Iraqi and Syrian nationals.

"They will be interviewed by immigration officers and their cases will be dealt with according to the immigration rules.

"Two minors were also encountered. They will be passed into the care of social services."
