Three released without charge after teen attacked near park

Three youths were arrested after a teen was repeatedly kicked on the floor near a Crawley park, police have said.

Officers said they received a call at 12.25pm on Wednesday (August 17) by a member of the public who reported a number of youths were kicking another youth on the floor near Maidenbower Park.

The suspects were not at the scene when officers arrived.

Police said two boys, aged 14 and 17 and an 18-year-old man, all from Crawley, were arrested on suspicion of common assault and using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence.

All three were later released without further action, officers added.
