Three arrested as armed police called to Crawley

Three men have been arrested after armed police were called to an address in Pound Hill, Crawley.

At 3.30pm on Sunday (August 1) police were called to a report of men behaving suspiciously, and in possession of a knife, at an address in Turners Hill Road, Pound Hill, Crawley, a police spokesman said.

Officers contained the address and at 4.20pm three men were arrested on suspicion of affray, police added.

They are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

A police spokesman said: “There are no reports of injuries, or of firearms having being present at this stage.

“There is no risk to the local community.”
