A teenager was punched in the face several times after he refused to give up his wallet and phone in an attempted robbery.

Police said the 18-year-old was walking down an alleyway between Victoria Street and Park Terrace East in Horsham at about 8.30pm on Tuesday (February 6) when he was approached by two men. They demanded his phone and wallet.

The teen refused and continued walking before he was punched in the face several times.

Officers said he suffered facial injuries and the offenders ran off back in the direction of Victoria Street.
