Second man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Horsham attack

A second man has been arrested in connection with the attack on a woman at her home near Horsham.

The 61-year-old woman was attacked by a man with a weapon in Emms Lane at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (February 18). She was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton suffering life-threatening injuries to her head and face.

She is now out of hospital and recovering well.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is being treated at hospital but remains under arrest.

A 63-year-old man from Horsham has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and has bailed until March 20.
