Renewed police appeal over '˜linked' Horsham and Southwater burglaries

Police are investigating six burglaries at homes in Horsham and Southwater which happened on the same day.

Intruders broke into properties in Blackbridge Lane, Dutchells Copse and Spencers Place, Horsham, and Millfields, Nutham Lane, Cedar Drive in Southwater on Thursday November 8.

They made an untidy search of each house and jewellery was stolen from all apart from the one in Nutham Lane, where the burglars were disturbed.

Detective Constable Simon Goulding said: “We believe this series of burglaries are linked and we are urging anyone with information or any witnesses to contact us.

“We are also advising householders to lock all doors and windows even if you are in the back garden, consider installing an intruder alarm, mark your valuables by using your postcode, leave some lights on if it will be dark before you get home and fit security lighting.”
