Police called to Burgess Hill ‘explosion’

Police officers were called to a report of an explosion in Burgess Hill.

Inspector Darren Taylor of Mid Sussex Police said the incident was reported at 7.15pm on Friday night (November 27).

He added: “Turned out to be some youths setting fire to some aerosol cans in Chanctonbury Way.

“But one of the not so clever fire starters left a school book at the scene with their name written on it!”
