More than 50 phones were stolen from a Horsham store as it was broken into for the second time in three months, police said.

Officers were called to the Vodafone store, in West Street, at around 4am on Saturday November 19.

Police said 50 I-phones and a number of other smart phones were taken.

A 28-year-old man from Crawley was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal, officers said.

He has been bailed until January 23, 2017, while enquiries continue.

Around £30,00 worth of mobile phones were stolen from the store during another break-in in September.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police are considering a possible link to another break-in in September although this has not been confirmed. Investigations are continuing.”

Witnesses are asked to please email quoting serial 213 of 19/11.
