Man threw pie at Haywards Heath train station worker

A man threw a pie at a worker at Haywards Heath railway station, a court heard.

Ricky John Rice, 40, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and not guilty to racially aggravated abuse when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (June 10).

The court heard he threw pie at the gateway worker on April 1.

The assault matter was adjourned after JPs heard he allegedlyl racially abused the same worker two days later.

He was released on conditional bail to be tried at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on July 16.

He was not to go to Haywards Heath railway station and its immediate surroundings.
