Man left unconscious in Horsham attack

A 34-year-old man is recovering from injuries after he was attacked in Horsham yesterday evening (Monday October 29).

Emergency services were called to Blackbridge Lane, near the junction with Longfield Road, where the man was lying unconscious.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “A 24-year-old man from Horsham was arrested on suspicion of GBH. He remained in custody on Tuesday morning (October 30).

“Police want to speak to any witnesses to the assault and in particular to the occupants of a dark blue Audi convertible seen to drive off from the area shortly afterwards. Please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1246 of 29/10 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
