Man assaulted in Horsham bar

A MAN was taken to hospital following an assault in B52’s bar in Horsham on Wednesday November 16.

The victim suffered head injuries after falling to the floor at around 11.30pm.

He is currently undergoing tests in hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Police are appealing for witnesses as they believe the incident may have been captured on mobile phones.

Detective Constable Glenn Fisk said: “We are trying to establish the circumstances of this incident and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed it. There were a number of people in the bar at the time and we believe that some may have taken photos on their mobile phones.

“If you were one of those people, please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1695 of 16/11 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. If you have photographs of the incident, they can be e-mailed to me at [email protected].”

An 18-year-old man from Horsham was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and has now been bailed until December 8.
