Man arrested on suspicion of Horsham Park rape

A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a young woman in Horsham Park.

Detectives have been investigating the incident where a 21-year-old woman was attacked in the early hours of Saturday August 8.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said today that a 27-year-old man from Horsham has been arrested.

He has been questioned on suspicion of rape and released on bail until April 4.

Detective inspector Paddy Mayers of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: “We are still appealing for witnesses to the rape and anyone who has any information to contact us.”
