Farm animal drugs snatched

POWERFUL hallucinogenic drugs and ‘a very large pair of dagging shears’ have been snatched from a home in Billingshurst Road, Goose Green, Pulborough.

Burglars stole a farm animal medication bag containing anti-biotics, wormers and a 25ml bottle of ketamine - a tranquilliser and common drug amongst users.

The narcotic, street named ket, special-k and blind squid, is said to cause a dissociative state of mind, with deadly effects ranging from paranoia to numbness of pain.

However, Horsham Police said that the incident was ‘random’ and not drug related.

A spokesperson said: “We did have a spate of ketamine related incidents some time ago, but we are not treating this random incident as drug related.

“The medication bag they took just happened to have ketamine in it.

“However, there are needles in the bag and we are concerned these may be used and dumped somewhere.

“If anyone comes across these we urge you not to touch them and contact the police immediately.

“We are also concerned this very large pair of dagging shears may be used as an offensive weapon.”

A quad bike described as an ATV Kbota with the registration RX60 GUW was also stolen from an outbuilding at the property.

The incident took place between 7pm on Tuesday 18 and 8am Wednesday October 19.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial number 0281 19/10/11.
