A three-tonne dumper truck worth £20,000 was stolen from a secure building site in Horsham earlier this week.

The Thwaites swivel dumper truck was stolen from the site in Queensway between 4.30pm on Tuesday (October 6) and 6.30am on Wednesday.

Police believe the truck was driven a short distance along Queensway before turning right onto Brighton Road.

It is probable that it was then placed on a low loader or similar vehicle before being driven away from the scene, police said.

PC Oliver Pullen, of the Horsham Neighbourhood Response Team, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the stolen vehicle or anything suspicious in the vicinity of the theft to come forward.”

Anyone with information can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 165 of 07/10.
