Court results - Horsham

The following are results from Crawley and Horsham magistrates’ courts from August 10 to August 13.

Emma Charles, 28, of Rectory Road, West Tarring, was banned from driving for 15 months, with a £320 fine, a £32 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Horsham.

Kieron Harrington, 23, of no fixed address, was fined £365, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to causing harassment in Horsham. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting two people, or going to an address in Horsham.

Prisca Mbaeri, 34, of Ayshe Court Drive, Horsham, was given an 18 month conditional discharge, with a £15 vicitm surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge. She had pleaded guilty to counts of stealing clothes from Debenhams in Crawley.

Steven Mulvaney, 38, of Top Street, Bolney, was banned from driving for a year, with a £325 fine, a £33 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a £150 criminal courts charge. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Bolney.

Michael King, 33, of no fixed address, was jailed for four months, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £150 costs. He had pleaded guilty to seven counts of stealing food from supermarkets in Crawley, Burgess Hill, and Cowfold.

Alison Roberts, 50, of Coombe Road, Billingshurst, was fined £440, with £250 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had been found guilty of failing to stop and give details after an accident, failing to report an accident to police, driving without insurance, and failing to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.

Jane Wilson, 41, of Godstone Road, Kenley, was given a one year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and a £150 criminal courts charge. She had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Horsham, and to assaulting a police constable.

James Bloor, 18, of no fixed address, was given a community order, with a £60 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to common assault, arson by setting fire to a bathroom floor, and causing criminal damage, all in Southwater.

John Grice, 24, of Eversfield Road, Southwater, was given a two month jail sentence, suspended for a year, with a £300 fine, and £70 costs. He had admitted breaching a community order for three counts of causing criminal damage, stealing tools from a garage, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Reena Karpal, 22, of Rusper Road, Horsham, was banned from driving for 18 months, with a £270 fine, a £27 victim surcharge, and £150 costs. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving in Crawley.
