Court results - Horsham

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Lauren O’Sullivan, 18, of Heath Close, Broadbridge Heath, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from shops in Horsham.

Edward Arnett, 61, of Lyminster Road, Lyminster, was fined £440, with £93.75 vehicle excise duty, and £90 costs. He had been convicted in his absence of using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road in Pulborough.

Emma Maxwell, 32, of Windrum Close, Horsham, was fined £80, with £76.67 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. She had pleaded guilty to keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road in Horsham.

Luke Tarr, of Seafield Road, Hove, was fined £440, with £145 vehicle excise back duty, and £90 costs. He had been convicted in his absence of keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road in Henfield.

Ben Ayres, 29, of Valewood Lane, Barns Green, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and four penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding.

Julie Green, 53, of Slaugham Lane, Warninglid, was fined £55, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding.

Amir Khawaja, 34, of Kirkwood Close, Peterborough, was banned from driving for six months, with a £235 fine, a £24 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Wayne Levings, 53, of Listers, Warninglid, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Bolney.

Carl Northern, 40, of Rascals Close, Southwater, was given a two year conditional discharge, with £1,400 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to burglary and theft in Southwater.

Tony Saunders, 29, of Pound Lane, Upper Beeding, was fined £180, with £150 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Horsham.

David Rowlands, 30, of no fixed address, was given a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, and £400 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Southwater. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting two named people, or going to an address in Southwater.

Aaron Kinsella, 19, of Langridge Lane, Broadbridge Heath, was given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work, £81.89 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £725 costs. He had been found guilty of using another person’s bank card, pleaded guilty to failing to answer bail, and admitted failing to comply with a community order.

Michael Hann, 25, of Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood, was ordered to pay £38 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to theft of alcohol from Waitrose in Horsham, and to failing to answer bail.

Nicole Rogers, 49, of Reeds Lane, Sayers Common, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and ten penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breach alcohol specimen.

Christian Burtic, 36, of Princess Street, Great Harwood, was ordered to pay £100 compensation, with a £60 victim surcharge, and £625 costs. He had been found guilty of common assault at Broadbridge Heath. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim.

Robert Conn, 36, of Forester Road, Crawley, was given a community order with six months of drug rehabilitation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft of a jacket from TK Maxx in Crawley and theft of a crate of whisky from a Co-op in Horsham, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

James Montgomery, 25, of Harvester Road, Epsom, was given a community order with 100 hours of unpaid work, £100 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £200 costs. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault in Horsham.

Kevin Hanks, 39, of East Street, Billingshurst, was given an absolute discharge. He had pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a red light at Buck Barn. Court records say the magistrates accepted his explanation about needing to bring a loaded vehicle to a safe stop.

Timothy Leach, 33, of Callisto Close, Crawley, was ordered to pay £166.38 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to theft from a Co-op in Horsham.

Michael Holmes, 37, of Stubbs Moor Road, Farnborough, was fined £345, with a £35 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault in Billingshurst.

Lucy Morris, 27, of Nuthurst Street, Nuthurst, was fined £440, with an £85 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and four penalty points added to her licence. She had been convicted in her absence of speeding.

Simon Hawkins, 45, of Sycamore Road, Bognor Regis, was fined £370, with a £37 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without insurance at Steyning.

Peter Honnor, 46, of Otter Drive, Carshalton, was fined £440, with a £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had been convicted in his absence of speeding at Coldwaltham.

Sebastian Ray, 20, of Cousins Way, Pulborough, was fined £40, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without a licence at Pulborough.

Marc Richardson, 42, of Wharf Road, Stanford-le-Hope, was fined £180, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, and to driving without an MoT certificate, at Albourne.

John Coburn, 48, of Henfield Road, Albourne, was banned from driving for 18 months, with a £500 fine, a £50 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Pyecombe.

David Grady, 35, of Park Terrace East, Horsham, was fined £410, with a £41 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Horsham.

Tyrone Hodge, 27, of Peskett Close, Barns Green, was jailed for 21 weeks, with a £50 fine, and £50 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to theft from a Co-op, and being drunk in a highway, both in Horsham; assault, and causing criminal damage, both in Crawley; burglary with intent to steal in Billingshurst, and admitted breaching a community order.

Jason Bishenden, 22, of Downlands, Partridge Green, was given a community order with a 16 week curfew, £500 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to exposing himself in Burgess Hill.

Mark Maynard, 29, of no fixed address, was banned from driving for six months, given a 20 week jail sentence suspended for 18 months, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £200 costs. He had pleaded guilty to possessing articles to use in theft, and been found guilty of possessing a bladed article, and driving without insurance, all at Hickstead.

Jason Edwards, 29, of Manning Close, East Grinstead, was fined £500, with £85 costs, a £20 victim surcharge, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and possessing a Class A drug (cocaine) at Crawley, and to resisting a police officer and obstructing a police officer at Pease Pottage.
