Court results - Horsham

The following are results contributed by HM Court Service, of cases sentenced by Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Tina Carr, of Cooks Mead, Rusper, was fined £220, with a £22 victim surcharge, and £110 costs. She had been convicted in her absence of being the registered keeper of an uninsured vehicle.

Meg Karmani, 46, of Park Lane, West Grinstead, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £110 costs. She had pleaded guilty to being the registered keeper of an uninsured vehicle.

Aaron Benson, 26, of Lloyd Goring Close, Angmering, was fined £44, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Christopher Birch, 47, of Darvel Down, Netherfield, was fined £220, with a £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Hayley Bussey, 18, of Barnhouse Close, Pulborough, was fined £220, with a £22 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding at Storrington.

Donna Murphy, 50, of Beaumont Square, Cranleigh, was fined £184, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding at Coldwaltham.

Carol Page, 78, of Old Wickhurst Lane, Broadbridge Heath, was fined £298, with a £29 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding at Storrington.

Omar Kabari, 22, of Nicholsfield, Loxwood, was banned from driving for two weeks, with a £150 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to failing to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence. In a separate case, he was given an 18 month conditional discharge, with £45 costs, and a £50 fine. He had pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis, and to failing to stop for a police officer, in Horsham.

Nicholas Green, 37, of Emms Lane, Brooks Green, was jailed for 16 weeks, with a six year driving ban, and an £80 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence, all in a Ford motorhome at Barns Green.

Cara Tilbrook, 40, of Blyth Road, Bromley, was given a nine week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to theft of food worth £307.12 from Waitrose in Horsham.

Harry Tilbrook, 19, of Blyth Road, Bromley, was given a six month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to theft of food worth £307.12 from Waitrose in Horsham.

Martin Freeman, 52, of Linden Park, Littlehampton, was banned from driving for six months, with a £235 fine, a £24 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at West Grinstead.

Christopher Milner, 41, of Post View, Storrington, was banned from driving for six months, with a £1,320 fine, a £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had been convicted in his absence on two counts of failing to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.

Stanley Range, 47, of Viewland Road, London, was banned from driving for six months, with a £125 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

John Wesley, 44, of Wakehurst Mews, Horsham, was ordered to pay £75 compensation and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a car windscreen in Horsham.

Joanna Basmadjian, 54, of Peppersgate, Lower Beeding, was given a 12 week jail sentence suspended for 18 months, with 200 hours of unpaid work, an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and a four year driving ban. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Cowfold.

William Copley, 20, of York Close, Horsham, was fined £400, with £100 compensation, a £30 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault, and resisting a police officer.

Laurence Grimsley, 26, of Saxon Close, East Preston, was banned from driving for a year, with a £120 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of MDMA in his blood.

Carl Western, 24, of Longfield Road, Horsham, was banned from driving for 15 months, and given a community order with 150 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. He had been found guilty of dangerous driving at Copsale.

Nicholas O’Donnell, 44, of Hawthorn Close, Horsham, was fined £200, with a £20 victim surcharge, £300 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without insurance at Crawley.

Nicholas Cawdron, 44, of Beggars Wood Rose, North Chailey, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Alfred Guce, 43, of Domewood, Copthorne, was fined £120, with £100 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge, and £620 costs. He had been found guilty of common assault in Bolney.
