Computer equipment worth £10k stolen on train to Horsham

A suitcase containing computer equipment worth more than £10,000 was stolen from a train, between Gatwick Airport and Horsham railway stations.

British Transport Police officers have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in connection with the theft.

The theft took place shortly after 9pm on Wednesday April 9, as the victim – a 29-year-old man – travelled between Gatwick Airport and Horsham railway stations.

DC Nigel Craig said: “The victim, who boarded the train at Gatwick, left his luggage, which contained expensive computer equipment, in the luggage rack behind his seat.

“When the train arrived at Horsham and the victim got up to leave the train, he discovered his case had been taken.”

Following the incident, officers have conducted a number of enquiries and have managed to isolate two CCTV images of men they would like to speak to.

DC Craig added: “I am certain the men pictured will be able to assist the investigation and am calling on anyone who recognises them, or who has information about the incident, to come forward.”
