Co-op appeal after Steyning branch burglary

The Co-op in High Street, Steyning was burgled early this morning (May 26).

The shop remained closed until 1.30pm this afternoon and CCTV footage has been passed onto the police.

A spokesperson for The Co-operative Food said: “I can confirm that a burglary took place at the store.

“The store was closed as a result and we would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience this caused. It is now operating as normal.

“CCTV footage has been passed to the police, who are investigating, and we would appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.”
