A Chihuahua puppy is missing following a burglary at an Upper Beeding home on Friday (July 13).

Police are appealing for witnesses after a passport and air rifle were stolen from the home in Priory Field.

The break-in took place some time between 1pm and 7pm while the owner was out.

Entry was gained into the house via the back door.

The male Chihuahua puppy, called Bobby, was in his cage in the utility room. But another puppy was still in the house when the owner returned.

Bobby is only five weeks old and is white and apricot coloured.

Detective Constable Faye Satchwell-Bennett from Worthing CID said “Please have a look at the photo of Bobby and I would ask that anyone with any information of his whereabouts to please get in touch. The owner of Bobby has been left devastated that he has gone.”

If anyone has any information please contact police on 101, quoting serial 1587 of 13/7 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
