Police have released this CCTV image of a suspected burglar who tried to break into a house in Pulborough.

Police said they were called to a property in Rectory Lane at 1.10pm on Friday, February 2, and found a window at the rear had been smashed but the would-be intruder had fled after being disturbed by the alarm.

The suspect who was captured on CCTV is a white man, of slim build and aged between 18 and 35, police said.

He was wearing a blue raincoat with a hooded peak cap, dark coloured trousers and brown shoes with light brown laces.

PC Glyn Knight said: “We are hoping someone will recognise this man as it is quite a good quality CCTV image. If you know who it is please let us know.”
