Biggest drugs seizure Horsham district has ever seen

An unprecedented number of warrants executed by Horsham police in the space of a week has led to the biggest drugs seizure the district has ever seen.

Crack, heroin, cocaine and cannabis have all been discovered at five addresses in Horsham town centre, Roffey, Small Dole and Partridge Green.

Late last month more than 50 officers from across the county swooped on homes in Honeysuckle Walk, Heatherleigh Court and South Holmes Road in Horsham.

Arrests made on what police have dubbed the ‘day of action’ led to the search of a further Horsham property where more Class A drugs were discovered along with items believed to have been stolen during burglaries.

Just days later, some 1,500 cannabis plants were found at a drugs factory in Small Dole with an annual yield estimated at £1.3million.

The industrial estate unit in Henfield Road was raided as a result of community intelligence - a key part of vital evidence needed to execute a warrant.
