Appeal for witnesses after Horsham Park Robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in a Horsham park.

A 21-year-old man was attacked by two men as he walked near to the car park at the Springfield Road entrance of Horsham Park at around 8pm on Monday August 1.

The victim was punched and pinned to the ground by one of the offenders while the second offender stole money and a mobile phone from his pockets.

Christopher Durkee, 26, of Stane Street, Ockley, Dorking, and Aaron Vincent, 39, of Wimblehurst Road, Horsham, were arrested and have been charged with robbery and appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday August 3 where they were remanded in custody until October 21.
