Appeal after pensioner is burgled in Bolney

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 90-year-old woman was burgled in Bolney.

Several items of jewellery valued at more than £6500 were stolen, many of great sentimental value, gifted from friends and family over her life.

The burglary happened between 12 noon and 3pm on Friday January 7 whilst the occupant was out.

Police are appealing for any witnesses and are particularly looking to trace a woman seen jogging along Spronketts Lane, Bolney, around the time of the burglary.

Police have released pictures of some of the jewellery, two necklaces and a choker, in a bid to help find them and the thief or thieves.
