Police and prison service officers are hunting for man who absconded from Ford Open Prison on Wednesday (May 6).

Michael O’Rourke, 36, is serving a sentence for burglary and theft and was reported missing from Ford at 4.30pm.

Police said he is known to have caught a taxi at around 9pm from Horsham railway station, where this photo was taken.

There have also been a number of reported sightings received from Sutton, his home area and where his offending took place.

He is white, of medium build, around 5’ 8”, with a shaved/bald head and was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a white jumper and black trainers with a white trim when he was last spotted. He is believed to be carrying a large green raincoat.
