COUNTY NEWS: Car crushed and hotel evacuated after hotel wall collapses

A car has been crushed after bricks fell from the wall of a Sussex hotel this afternoon (Monday, February 8).

Emergency services were called to the Premier Inn, on Terminus Road, Eastbourne, shortly after 4pm.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service firefighters are on the scene and have closed Trinity Place while they make the area safe.

The road is expected to remain closed for a considerable time and the hotel has been evacuated.
