Cranleigh Golf and Country Club handed over a cheque for £1,000 to its ‘Captains Charity’ on Wednesday June 27,

The ‘Captains Charity’, The Rainbow Trust, received the money after General Manager Dominic Eagle’s completion of the Brentwood half Marathon, in 1hr 43 minutes.

Dominic Eagle comments: “At Cranleigh we all enjoy doing our bit for various charities and I am delighted to have raised such a significant amount, thanks to the very generous support of our members.

“Charities like The Rainbow Trust simply wouldn’t be there without people going out to fundraise. I thoroughly enjoyed the run and plan to do the same again next year.”

The ‘Captains Charity’ is just one of Cranleigh Golf and Country Clubs fundraising initiatives.

Other fundraising efforts have included the Club cycling their way to new charitable heights by pedaling spin bikes for a full day at the Swan Walk Shopping Centre, to raise money for The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for children with cerebral palsy - as part of the Horsham 100 campaign.
