Coffee fans have a new reason to be excited after a national chain announced it will be opening its new store in Storrington tomorrow.

A Costa store in Old Mill Square will be opening its doors to the public on Friday May 1 and is set to celebrate a day later with a whole host of festivities.

Back in February the coffee shop chain announced they would be bring a new store to the village.

Operations manager Matt Coulthard said he was very excited the store was finally opening and urged customers to come down and have a drink.

He said: “I am really excited. We have been looking at Storrington for the last couple of years

“I actually grew up in Storrington so it is a very exciting thing for me as I am coming home.

“I am really looking forward to seeing people come into the store.”

To celebrate the opening a party is set to be held on the Saturday May 2.

Matt said parish council chairman Anna Worthington will be down at 10am to cut a ribbon and officially open the store whilst music is provided by a live jazz band.

He added more than 7,000 buy one get one free vouchers have been handed out to houses in the area and customers will be able to come down and claim their special priced drinks whilst the celebrations unfold.

Despite the official opening being held on the Saturday the store will be open from 7am tomorrow.
