With the popular Storrington Village Day off the calendar for the second year running, the group has stepped up to provide a free event for the community.

SADCASE member Chris Mason told the County Times: “SADCASE was approached by Storrington and Sullington Parish Council to see if we thought we could put on a classic and sports car show some time during the summer.

“As a club we are now involved in a number of events across West Sussex but this is the first time we will have tried to do one on our own.

“It cannot be emphasised enough, that this is not in any way a replacement for Storrington Village Day; as it says on the tin, it will be the Storrington Classic Vehicle Show.

“We are doing it for Storrington and hopefully, the sun will shine, people will enjoy it and it will be a success.

“There will be no charge to visitors but donations received from exhibitors, or anyone else, will go to the Mary How Trust which is the local charity supported by SADCASE since we were founded six years ago.”

There will be food vendors, a bar, and live music, as well as classic cars, tractors and motorbikes.

The event will be held from 10am to 4pm on Sunday July 31 at Storrington Recreation Ground, off Hurston Lane.
