Callum’s idea lights up village centre

A STORRINGTON school pupil has his own Christmas light hanging in the High Street after winning a design competition.

On Friday December 2 the Caremark Ltd care manager Geoff West, visited Storrington First School in Spierbridge Road, to present a prize to the winner of the ‘Storrington Design a Christmas Light Competition’.

At afternoon assembly year five pupil Callum Lidbetter was presented with a framed print of his Christmas bauble design and a gift voucher.

Geoff West said: “This is the third year that Caremark has sponsored this competition and the quality of the entries is always very high.

“It is a difficult job to choose a winner from such a good standard of entries but I am sure that when you see the full effect of the light in the village you will agree this is a very worthy winner.”

Callum’s parents were present at the assembly and were very proud to see him collect his reward in front of the staff and pupils of the school.
