Call centre staff at West Sussex County Council have suspended two further strike dates after a pay offer was tabled by the employer Serco.
Yesterday UNISON announced that after a strike last week, and no deal being reached, they would ballot staff once more over two more strike dates.
However overnight an offer has been tabled to UNISON by Serco plc and the two one-day strikes planned for Monday April 15 and Friday April 19 have been suspended.
This offer is now being put to UNISON members to decide whether they wish to settle their dispute.
UNISON will issue a further announcement next week.
