Horsham District Council’s Cabinet Member for a Safer and Healthier District has been out on food hygiene and animal licensing inspections with Environmental Health officers to learn more about their work.
Having only come into the Cabinet post at Horsham District Council in February this year, Councillor Sue Rogers wanted to learn more about the work of the Council’s Environmental Health and Licensing department, which is part of her portfolio.
Working in partnership with others, Horsham District Council and the Environmental Health and Licensing department promotes good health in line with the government’s health improvement strategies.
Cllr Rogers: “I have been extremely impressed with the expertise of the officers and the diligence with which they conduct this important role for the council.
“It was particularly pleasing to see how the businesses responded so positively to the inspections.”
Cllr Rogers recently visit The Honeypot Café in Dial Post which has been awarded a top score of five in the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
The Honeypot Café is located in the Honeybridge Caravan Park, near to the Old Barn Nurseries in Dial Post.
